One of the most bankable actors of M-Town, Prithviraj Sukumaran is doling out happy vibes in his latest picture. The actor, who has recently stepped into filmmaking with ‘Lucifer’, seems to be a bit more joyous these days. In his latest social media post, Prithviraj Sukumaran is seen showing off his million-dollar smile and there’s a reason behind that smile. In the picture, Prithviraj Sukumaran is accompanied by actor-scenarist Murali Gopi, the same person who has crafted the script for ‘Lucifer’. And Murali is the one because of whom there’s a twinkle in Prithviraj’s eyes! The picture was taken right after the duo met up at the writer’s home to discuss the script of the movie’s sequel. ‘Empuraan’, the sequel to ‘Lucifer’, is currently under pre-production. Prithviraj looks excited as he was awestruck hearing about the canvas of ‘Empuraan’ from the scriptwriter.

Posting the picture, Prithviraj wrote, “At the writer’s den! My eyes are so wide coz I’m thinking how in the world am I going to shoot what he’s just told me! ???? #L2.”

Released last year, 'Lucifer' emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in M-Town.

The upcoming movie, 'Empuraan', will see actor Mohanlal essaying the lead. We also hear that Prithviraj, who appeared in a cameo in its prequel, will have more screen space in the upcoming movie. The movie will be expensive than its sequel and the makers are planning a trilogy. Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad cinemas will be bankrolling the project. And as per the sources, ‘Empuraan’ will go on floors by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj was last seen in ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’. The movie, which was released a week ago, is receiving a positive response and is running successfully in the cinemas.

'James Bond,' Malek's voice begins at the start of the clip. "License to kill. I could be speaking to my own reflection."

"Come on, Bond," Fiennes says with a look of intensity. "Where the hell are you?"

The teaser promises plenty of high-speed chases and explosions, with Bond narrowly averting disaster on multiple occasions.

The teaser also shows the newest Bond girl, played by Armas.

Bond approaches Paloma (Armas) at the corner of a bustling street corner, where she is having a drink at the bar. "Whenever you're ready," he tells her. She scolds him, "You're late."

Director Cary Joji Fukunaga's 'No Time to Die' will be the fifth portrayal of 007 by Craig, who has previously starred in 'Casino Royale', 'Quantum of Solace', 'Skyfall' and 'Spectre'.

Even as some Vijay fans claim that Oscar winner Parasite is inspired from their Thalapathy's Minsara Kanna, things took a bizarre turn with the Tamil film's producing reportedly saying that he is seriously planning to file a case against the makers of the Korean film for lifting the plot of his film, which released in 1999.

In interviews to media outlets, the film's producer, PL Thenappan, has been quoted as saying that he is planning on hiring an international lawyer next week to explore the possibility of filing a case against the creators of Parasite.

Festival, and four Academy Awards earlier this week, is directed by maverick Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho. The film is about how a poor family of four infiltrates a wealthy household as workers and feeds off them. A few claim that the storyline is borrowed from the 1999 romantic drama Minsara Kanna, in which a billionaire and his family take up work as household helps at his girlfriend’s home to convince her sister to get them married.

The film's director, KS Ravikumar, told us earlier that he hasn’t seen Parasite, but "going by what people are saying, I think I should feel happy that I selected an Oscar-worthy story 20 years ago!"

The film Yodha was born out of a wish on the part of myself and brother Santhosh to make a movie based on martial arts. We were inspired by those like The 36th Chamber of Shaolin. However, at that time, the farthest place that Malayalam could afford to place it outside of the State, was Nepal.

Once there, we saw a girl who was supposed to have special powers. The Hinduism practised over there was very tantric, with sacrifices, black magic and the like. We also learnt about an evil group named Boksha and wanted to introduce it in some way into our story. The girl became a boy in our story and we also borrowed the Buddhist concept of incarnation. We had in our mind the film called Crocodile Dundee, which tells the story of a local Australian bushman, who goes to the US and becomes a hero there with his native skills. We thought, why not make our character go from Kerala to Nepal, to become a hero?

Many who heard our story were not convinced that it would work as they felt that the the Kerala connection wasn’t strong. We approached many scriptwriters but it was Sasidharan Arattuvazhi who took just a week to incorporate the Kerala elements into the story!
We took in all actors who were willing to shave their heads, to become monks (laughs). We cast a karate practitioner who was also an expert in Buddhist customs as the villain. While searching for a suitable boy who can play Rimpoche aka Unnikuttan, I asked our villain, ‘Do you have sons?’ He said, ‘I have two sons.’

We were impressed with the photo of one of them, Sidharth Lama, who had this enviable mop of thick hair! When I met the boy and he smiled, I knew he was the one. He was smart and agreed to shave his head too! That’s how we zeroed in on Rimpoche aka Unnikuttan. His famous line Akosutto was Santhosh’s contribution.

We originally titled the film Buddha, but changed it to Yodha, as we didn’t want to ruffle any feathers. I remember that while the film was getting censored, they checked to see if there were any references to Buddha or his teachings in the film.

The movie released with Mammootty’s Pappayude Swantham Appoos, which ran for around 150 days. Yodha was in theatres for around 100 days, and didn’t do as well as we expected. But all we wanted to do was make a martial arts movie based in Kerala. Whether it worked or not did not matter.

Yet another addition from Roja’s team was A R Rahman, who was at that time, Dileep. We had done a few jingles with him. However, after hearing his scores for Roja, Santhosh said he was definitely the next big thing. He came on board and put together some interesting scores like Padakali.

When you have actors like Mohanlal and Jagathy Sreekumar on screen, one needs to think of situations that would do justice to their calibre. So, for the music competition, we thought of an idea based on tongue twister songs. Bichu Thirumala, our lyricist, had a good knowledge of folk songs. He sang a basic form of this for Rahman, who asked for references to create such a track. Yesudas and M G Sreekumar sang it, and it was not easy to record. Bichu offered to change the lyrics, if the singers found it too hard to mouth. However, Dasettan was like, ‘No no, it’s a competition, right? Let’s not change it.’

The second single from ‘Soorarai Pottru’, 'Veyyon Silli' was launched mid-air on a flight today. The song was launched by makers with 70 underprivileged children from various schools on the flight that was decorated with the title 'Soorarai Pottru'. In this second single from the movie, Suriya and Aparna Murali deliver pure romance in the one minute video.

The visuals of the song are very impressive, and the romantic bond between Suriya and Aparna Balamurali is unmissable. The music of the romantic song is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, and the lyrics are written by Vivek. Meanwhile, the team has also released the full lyrical video of ‘Veyyon Silli’, and it is clearly a good one to celebrate on the occasion of Valentine's Day.

'Soorarai Pottru' is based on the life story of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, and the film is directed by Sudha Kongara. Suriya plays the role of a pilot named Nedumaran Rajangam in the film and he has already won his fans over with the teaser of the film. ‘Soorarai Pottru' also stars Paresh Rawal, Telugu actor Mohan Babu, Urvashi, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna, Krishna Kumar, and Kaali Venkat in supporting roles. The film is produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment in association with Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment.

Actor Yash and Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon are currently shooting in Mysuru for KGF: Chapter 2 which marks a comeback of Raveena Tandon to Kannada cinema after the gap of two decades.

Welcoming Raveena Tandon on board, Yash on his social media page posted, “Ramika Sen may not be welcome to Rocky's territory.. but Raveena Ma'am is definitely more than welcome to Yash's hometown!! It's a pleasure having you onboard ma'am !! Let's have a blast.” Raveena is essaying the role of prime minister Ramika Sen in the movie.

'Kaappaan' starring Suriya, Sayyeshaa, and Arya in the lead roles released last year and the film was a successful one at the box office. In 'Kaappaan', Arya, who played the role of the Indian Prime Minister after his father passes away in the plot, is seen declaring the Cauvery Delta region as a protected agricultural zone and passes the rule about it. Now, the Tamil Nadu government has implemented the same rule which was mentioned in Suriya's 'Kaappaan'.

In his acceptance speech, Joaquin Phoenix had quoted his later brother and stated, "I’m full of so much gratitude now. I do not feel elevated above any of my fellow nominees or anyone in this room, because we share the same love – that’s the love of film. And this form of expression has given me the most extraordinary life. I don’t know where I’d be without it. But I think the greatest gift that it’s given me, and many people in [this industry] is the opportunity to use our voice for the voiceless. I’ve been thinking about some of the distressing issues that we’ve been facing collectively. I think at times we feel or are made to feel that we champion different causes. But for me, I see commonality. I think, whether we’re talking about gender inequality or racism or queer rights or indigenous rights or animal rights, we’re talking about the fight against injustice. We’re talking about the fight against the belief that one nation, one people, one race, one gender, one species, has the right to dominate, use and control another with impunity."

Also Korean film 'Parasite' created history as it was the first foreign-language film to win the Best Picture award at Oscars. The film was nominated in six catagories and managed to pocket four Academy Awards.

Terrifying clown or ageing mobsters? Nostalgia for Tinseltown or the muddy trenches of a century-old war?
Hollywood hands out its highest honors on Sunday at an Oscars ceremony that could see a number of historic firsts and an all-white actor winner podium that has revived the #OscarsSoWhite debate.Brad Pitt, Elton John, Charlize Theron, Leonardo DiCaprio, Scarlett Johansson and Martin Scorsese are among the A-List nominees, alongside the little-known cast of Korean-language drama ' Parasite,' which threatens to steal the thunder from Hollywood's biggest names.

All eyes are on the coveted best picture prize, which awards watchers believe is a three-way race between independent social satire ' Parasite,' British director Sam Mendes' immersive World War One movie '1917' from Universal Pictures, and Quentin Tarantino's love letter to show business, 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,'.

"The smart bet is definitely '1917,' but I do not rule out the possibility of something else winning, whether that be 'Parasite' or 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,' or 'Jojo Rabbit'," Scott Feinberg, awards columnist for The Hollywood Reporter, said ahead of the show.

'Parasite' from best director nominee Bong Joon Ho, looks certain to win the newly named best international film category and is seeking to enter the history books as the first film in a foreign language to win a best picture Oscar.

Dark comic book movie 'Joker' from Warner Bros, which has a leading 11 nominations, race-car drama 'Ford v Ferrari' from 20th Century Studios, and novel adaptation 'Little Women' from Sony Pictures, round out the competition for the top prize.

The winners are chosen by the 8,000 members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the show has no host for a second year.A poor year for diversity, with Cynthia Erivo the only actor of color in the race and an all-male director field, has revived the #OscarsSoWhite debate of four years ago.

Erivo, who played slavery-era freedom fighter Harriet Tubman in "Harriet," is likely to lose out in the best actor race to Renee Zellweger, who has swept up awards this season for her performance as an ageing Judy Garland in 'Judy.'

"She gave an amazing performance," said Owen Gleiberman. "My jaw was just on the floor."Pitt has stormed back as a leading Hollywood man after a period out of the public eye during his bitter divorce from Angelina Jolie, and is seen as a shoo-in for the supporting actor Oscar for his laid-back stuntman role in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."

Joaquin Phoenix is the favorite to win his first Oscar for a disturbing performance as a loner clown who turns to violence in 'Joker', while Scarlett Johansson is nominated for her roles in both 'Jojo Rabbit' and 'Marriage Story'. No actor has won two Oscars on the same night.

Another ‘look’ from Kesu Ee Veedinte Nadhan has been unveiled on social media and it is sure to continue generating excitement and curiosity. It shows Dileep playing someone a decade older - as a 60-something - complete with thinning hair, a paunch and the typical old-man bag. His family, comprising Urvashi and two kids, are posing by a car of Keshu’s Driving School.

The film is the fourth directorial venture by Nadirshah, a friend from Dileep’s mimicry days. The film also has Anusree, Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Ramesh Pisharody. The script is by Sajeev Pazhoor, whose last film was Biju Menon-starrer Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo

After much controversy, the first look poster of Shane Nigam-starrer 'Ullasam' is out! Mohanlal has launched the first look poster of the movie. Shane Nigam looks handsome and charming in the colorful first image. Shane is accompanied by the debutant female lead Pavithra Lekshmi in the poster.

As per the sources, Shane Nigam will be appearing in different avatars in the movie as he will be portraying characters from different age groups.'Ullasam' is directed by debutant Jeevan Jojo. Joe Kaithamattom and Christi Kaithamattom have bankrolled the project under the banner of Kaithamattom Brothers. Praveen Balakrishnan has crafted the screenplay for the movie while John Kutty is the editor. Shaan Rahmaan has been roped in as the music director.

The movie had created a lot of buzz earlier and Shane Nigam's non-cooperation with the team made headlines. However, upon the intervention of AMMA, the actor has completed the dubbing of the movie and it is expected to hit the screens soon.

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, who is playing a crucial role in SS Rajamouli’s next big film RRR has refused to accept the remuneration for his work in the movie sources say.

According to a report, the makers of the movie offered him to pay as per the market value, which is equal to the remuneration of Jr NTR and Ram Charan. But the 50-year-old actor has refused to take the amount because of his excellent rapport with SS Rajamouli. Since the Tanhaji actor had given a small voiceover for the Hindi version of Eega, Makkhi in 2012, he has been maintaining a good relationship with him, and that is the reason he agreed to act in the film without expecting anything in return.relationship with him, and that is the reason he agreed to act in the film without expecting anything in return.

RRR, which also features Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Rahul Ramakrishna, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Alison Doody has been creating the entire right buzz since its announcement. SS Rajamouli has been giving us glimpses of the movie with BTS pictures where we saw the lead actors. Like his previous films, the upcoming film seems to be a blockbuster. To give us a cinematic experience like never before, the makers of RRR have decided to postpone the film, which was supposed to release on July 20, 2020. Now, it is slated to release on January 8, 2020.
